A hundred miles can be a long way to travel for a relationship but here’s hoping that the results that are returned allow you to make an accurate assessment of the site’s local popularity.

It should be noted that although they also market the name under Nudist Friend Finder, this site is not associated with the Friend Finder network of sites. Having said that, the site is has targeted an interesting niche. Here’s what we thought of NudistFriends.com.

The signup process is easy and quick if you just want to log on to check out who’s online. One interesting feature is that it prompts you to recommend friends to the network, which sounds like a good way to cultivate a larger member base. The profile quality is acceptable, giving you a number of options to help describe yourself and the person or people you’re looking to meet. However, the search for member profiles didn’t start off on a good foot. The first person to pop up looked like a model with the headline “I’m a horny little girl.” Many, but not all, of the profiles that came up seemed to be a little suspicious. This is often a risk when a dating site targets adult oriented pleasures so you should be on your guard when joining.

If you’re not picky about who you connect with, this can be a useful tool that cuts down on time spent searching. You can leave comments on peoples profiles and read what others have said about them. There’s a chat forum where you can engage in discussions and they even have daily nudist news. Naturalists should really enjoy what this site has put together.

Although it owns and redirects traffic from NudistFriendFinder.com, there is no affiliation with the Friend Finder network of dating sites. However, Nudist Friends isn’t another cardboard site pushed out to the masses to capitalize on having snagged a good domain name. It truly is a well-built community. Now if it could just clean up some of what appears to be fake profiles and hookers-for-hire, this site will have a strong future as a portal for the nudist community.

Senior Match

My mother is a widow often tells me that she would consider going back on the market, if she could just find the right environment. You know—safe, secure and not treating her as if she’s 100 years old, just because she’s over 60. On the surface, Senior Match might seem such a place as its slick homepage is strewn with links specifically tailored to those over 50. I like that it seemed right from the start to cater to mature daters as inexperienced in life, rather than old.

The SeniorMatch signup process was rather standard, as far as mandatory information asked, except on two counts. First, although sometimes a complete physical description is obligatory when signing up to a site, in this case, I only was required to provide my height and no other appearance details. I know traditionally women prefer to date someone several inches taller, but still, that requirement seemed somewhat arbitrary.

Another, atypical mention is that when I agreed to the terms of service after filling out the first few pieces of information, I was required to verify that I was at least 30 years of age. I didn’t have to stretch the truth on that one. I thought it showed some effort to make sure that even if some folks might be looking for a May-December romance that the younger participant was still in the realm of full-bloom, not still wet round the ears from an April shower, or the melting snow of early March.

Otherwise, SeniorMatch.com was par for the course, as far as its services resembling those of most other online dating sites. I discovered it is free to read the community forums and blogs, or to reply to email and instant messages. However, to initiate instant messaging, or compose emails, as well as read some of the advice and general news items geared towards people 50 plus, I would have needed to upgrade to a paid membership.

Unfortunately, SeniorMatch hasn’t done well on attracting visitors to the site. I found it difficult to determine, whether my local area was doing better than the overall traffic numbers might suggest, as free searches only get within 100 miles of home and the last login info is only viewable upon upgrading. That seriously hindered my ability to see how many others nearby were using the site.

The site might attract more members through better promotion and repositioning its name to an audience young-at-heart. Not everyone of a certain age wants to be called a senior, or would even consider him, or herself one. Senior Match needs to work on grabbing hold of more of the vital baby boom generation. In the meantime, it may be a site to keep your eye on.

Any parent knows just how special children are. So when it comes to dating and finding love online, it seems only natural that there be a spot that focuses on singles with dependents. The profile quality on the site is pretty impressive. In the searches we conducted, less than 20 percent of men posted pictures in their profile while over half of the women flashed their photos. This makes us a little leery of what’s in store as people serious about finding love generally know that pictures are a must for most. However, having a child in school might play into this picture. Mom or dad may worry about the effect this could have on their children. Either way, the profile quality mark for Single Parents Mingle is decent and shouldn’t cause you much worry.

SingleParentsMingle.com scores a 10 for presentation thanks to a professional design and the ability to change around the color schemes to suit your personal tastes. All you have to do is click into the “account” section and scroll down to “themes.” I picked the yellow theme – what about you?

Not only is this site pretty and presentable, it also makes it easy for you to drill down into the profiles to find facts based on answers that may or may not have been given when you signed up. Some sites make a number of questions mandatory right off the top, but Single Parents Mingle doesn’t — which is a fault from where I sit. And even worse, it fills in a number of the answers to the questions automatically, so if you choose to only fill in the few that are required, certain answers will confuse people more than if they just saw an N/A in any given search field. Despite all the issues I have with the way you can scoot past filing out a profile, this doesn’t affect the search options score. The one thing it doesn’t have is a keyword search option. This is usually the defining factor in a perfect 10 score so Single Parents Mingle will have to deal with falling one shy of perfection.

If quick contact is your thing, this site offers chat rooms and instant messaging. You probably only need instant messaging to get you connected quickly, but having extra features never hurt. As a result, this site comes up a little short in this area.

The free access level on SingleParentsMingle.com is a decent. After knowing the number of people on a dating site, the free access level is the second most important thing to consider. The best sites for free access let you respond to emails sent by members who’ve paid their dues. Single Parents Mingle stops short of this marker requiring you to pay to play. You can send smiles showing interest, search profiles and drill down to find people really close to where you live. It even tells you when each of the profiles were last online – which is very important in determining if the site has enough members in your area to meet. You can test-drive the site pretty easily, but free access cuts out before the good stuff begins. If you’re new to online dating and are trying to learn the ropes then you may want to consider a site that has a little more free access to begin with. However, if you know your way around dating sites and the $20 monthly fee is laughable to you, the free access level should be more then you need to make up your mind about the value of this site.

Singe Parents Mingle hits a homerun when it comes to extra features. The site offers numerous options to amuse its members and help make connections. There’s a chat board chat rooms, greeting cards and an “ideal match” service that helps get you pointed towards the “right” members quicker. It also has a fun color-coded personality test for you to take. We’re not sure on the science, but it rates pretty high on the entertainment scale!

Single Parents Mingle is a site for experienced daters or those who don’t mind taking a $20 chance. Do a free search in your area for possible matches and if all looks good, you may not be a single parent for too much longer!

Is MillionaireMatch.com really the home for single sugar daddies and mommies? It certainly appears so. Charlie Sheen apparently met someone on here. Is that the type of millionaire you’re after? We took a look to see if this lofty idea was good enough to take to the bank and here is what we found…

The media seems to love this site. And from what we can tell, so do a large number of online singles. It has gained a decent amount of popularity over the past couple of years and that makes it worth a look, if nothing else.

The profile quality on Millionaire Match seems quite high. The majority of the profiles we searched had pictures and most had gone to the trouble of filling out various sections in detail. The lure of the targeted demographic probably helps play into the success of this site and the dedication of its members to provide information to attempt to attract the best, and perhaps richest, mate possible.

MillionaireMatch.com has set itself up to cater to a high-end clientele yet it appears less impressive than you might expect. First off, the graphics are a little simple and lack the sophisticated polish you would see on more established dating sites. The logo looks awry with so much empty space and staggered name. There’s a page-turn in the bottom left of the screen that seems completely bizarre and the color scheme is rather unremarkable.. Although there are certain flaws in presentation, none are deep enough to really hinder the flow and usability of this site. However, despite the targeted niche, it looks like these millionaires scrimped on design.

Search options are about as robust as any on the Net. However, Millionaire Match only lets paid members have full access to them. As a free users, you have to make due with searches that specify age, gender country and a distance of no less than a 100-mile radius. If you have a paid membership, you can get as close as 50 miles. You also can’t search strictly by high-income if you haven’t paid for a membership.

People looking to see if Millionaire Match is worth their time and effort will like the options available to them on this site. You can search any of the profiles, send winks of interest, receive email and use the chat board without paying first. This should be more than you need to determine if you want to become a member. It deserves a second mention here that despite all you can do for free, you can’t see how busy the site is because last log-in date is kept secret to free members. Maybe this also explains why there are so few people who have clicked to check out our profile…

I had heard about Quest Personals before but had never known anyone who was a member. As time passed, curiosity got the better of me. I will say first, though, that I had a few issues with getting randomly logged out and signing back in didn’t always fix the glitch right away. You can review the complete details of any that catches your fancy in the preview pane of results.

QuestPersonals.com offers standard free access to the site. They allow you to do just about anything except initiate contact. Once you pay, you can start private chat with someone, send emails and even audio or video messages. You also need to upgrade to listen to personal voice greetings. Nevertheless, free members can wink away at all members and can reply free to any paid member that responds. You can’t ask for more from a dating site.

The biggest thing hurting Quest Personals right now is lack of popularity on the web. You may live in an area where the site is popular, but you’ll have to log on to find out. Fortunately, that’s where the last login date comes into play. It’s easy to see how many active members live nearby your home or somewhere you plan to visit soon.

Unlike some competitors, it has remained in the midrange of the full-priced membership scale, as well as introducing an inexpensive trial membership plan. It remains surprising that member numbers have remained low, since otherwise QuestPersonals.com seems like a great site.

Date.com was always slick and streamlined. Although, it seems as if in some ways they’ve simplified the homepage. For example, no longer are the “featured members” necessarily tailored to your local area. Nevertheless, besides showing how many new members there are, it still offers a direct link to go directly to new subscribers near you. Details of waiting messages, your profile status and how many people are online, are posted right near the top of the main page. All of this specialized info is right at your fingertips without leaving you feeling overwhelmed.

You can search Date profiles using the quick link on the homepage or take advantage of free advanced options including keyword searches. You can also browse by member status, such as who has birthday today, who is online, who is available for instant messaging and who is a featured member. You have full access to see subscriber’s complete profiles including photo albums and last login info, right away. You can flirt for free until you upgrade, but contact by email or instant messaging require a paid membership. The chat rooms are also limited to premium members.

In a surprising departure from my normal judgment of dating sites, I must say I was impressed with the dating webzine produced by Date.com. I have enjoyed other site’s subscriber-submitted stories and articles, but this site has produced a truly professional online publication called Date.info. Many articles appear to have been written by actual writers rather than just regular site members, such as David De Angelos’ dating advice for men, or Christian Carter’s for women.

Even user-submitted content seems edited for spelling errors, if not grammar, which is definitely different then just being presented with the standard member forums or message boards of other sites. It may not seem overly important to some seasoned online singles out there, but to a newbie, it could be quite useful. Even to someone like me who’s definitely been around the block a few times, it was genuinely an interesting to read. Those relationship experts alone are worthwhile, as I’ve seen their advice for sale, rather than available free, at may other places.

One thing that has changed beyond a minor dip in the number of visitors to the site is its price. It used to be in the low-end of midrange pricing, but has gone up several dollars to match most standard full-cost sites. It does offer some advanced features such as audio and video messaging, but one thing that is lacking is the ability to receive replies from free members, even if you are a paid subscriber and you initiate contact. That cuts your potential matches considerably, which has always been some hindrance to successful meeting through Date.com.

Overall, though, Date.com remains a popular site with a lot of good features. Your day won’t be wasted if you decide to at least tour its pages.

Open the doors to French Friend Finder and singles will find a new world awaiting them. Unless you start to cough up money, you won’t see anything more than that. This makes it difficult to tell the quality of members on this French singles site. Most sites let you see profiles without paying so if you’re worried about taking the plunge, back off until you know more about the site.

You must be wondering what you can do on French Friend Finder for free. This is really simple. You can send signs of interest. If you send it to a paid subscriber, they may write you back … or they may not. Overall, I love what French Friend Finder has done to build a community for French singles. There are lots of things to do here besides just dating. It’s the dating portion, with the inability to view profiles up front, which turns my grapes sour. However, if you’re French and don’t mind paying the price to see behind the curtain, I’m sure this is a dating site that’s worth your attention.

Single German women and men have a home with the Friend Finder network of dating sites at GermanFriendFinder.com. The site is just like any other dating site, allowing you to browse profiles and search members, much as you would expect. The only problem is that Friend Finder sites come with their own unique quirks and this one is no exception. Nonetheless, one thing that German Friend Finder does best is creating a sense of community.
